Portrait Heist : The Mystery of the Stolen Churchill February 2023

Summary: The valuable portrait of former British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill has gone missing. The photograph is the work of famous Canadian-Armenian photographer Yousuf Karsh. It had hung in an Ottawa hotel for 24 years. In a plot reminiscent of a heist movie, the print was secretly removed and replaced with a fake, but the switch went unnoticed for months.
