Summary: The unemployed actors of the Galaxy Quest television series are reduced to convention appearances and store openings. But when a distressed interstellar cadre of benevolent aliens beam Jason Nesmith and his crew of has-beens onto their ship, they have the misguided hope that these 'historical documents' can defeat a genocidal space warlord.
